NEW YEAR – NEW SOLUTIONS!
We hope that you had a great Christmas with your family and friends!
It is good to be back- New Year with head full of New Ideas! We are really looking forward to what this year will bring for us.
Last year was very exciting and challenging for SPHERE. As you are all well aware, we were formally known as Cornerstone Automation Systems UK. We had some great times under that name; met lots of fantastic people, created some awesome projects and had the privilege to be awarded a number of “Businesses of the Year Awards” for our services. We would like to thank you for that. It wouldn’t have been possible without people like you, who believe in progress through innovation.
This year’s chapter commenced under our new name: SPHERE Global, which is a corporation with subsidiaries in Automation, Healthcare and Profiles. Operating under our new name allows us to serve you in more sectors, in order to help the growth of your business.
In December, for the first time, we could reveal our new branding, which we had been working very hard to perfect. We participated under our new name at a recent event “˜Smart Manufacturing,’ which was dedicated to discovering benefits and challenges around collaborative robots.
Our Managing Director Sean McNicholl gave an in-depth and inspirational speech about “˜Bringing manufacturing back to Europe’, where he discussed implementing automation and robotic technology to gain a competitive edge. It was a great day, spent amongst companies intrigued with innovation: KUKA Robotics, EPSON Robotics, Hanley Automation, SMC, Texam, SICK, Allen ““Bradley and Rockwell Automation. We would like to thank everyone who took the time to attend the event and show an interest in the future possibilities in growing their businesses. We hope it was a beneficial experience for participants, and will help companies to understand more about automation and the robotics industry.
It is only January and yet we are delighted to share with you a recent radio interview with Sean McNicholl about “˜Jobs of the Future’. He and Simon Cole from Automated Intelligence, gave a great insight of upcoming possibilities for people, and how changing industry will affect those who are choosing their future career. Naomi McMullan’s choice of subject was definitely helpful for anyone who is still trying to discover their own path in life.
At SPHERE we believe in new solutions and investing in young people. Our customers, who have visited our headquarters in Northern Ireland, have seen how many young people are working within the company. The reason for this is a bit personal for Sean. It is not a widely known story, but when he finished college he was struggling to get his first job as a graduate. Eventually he was given an opportunity to implement his academic knowledge into practice. From that moment, Sean knew that he will always give a chance to people who are eager to learn and work hard, no matter their age. It is a great combination in our company to have people, both with years of experience and graduates with fresh perspective. Investing into people is always a good step.
2015 will be a year where we will introduce you to each system we design, benefits of investing into automation and challenges that lie ahead. We hope that you will find all the information engaging and useful. Thank you for being with us and if you have any questions, just give us a call or email and we will be happy to talk to you!
